This large multi-occupancy house in Tufnell Park, London took my eye a couple of years before I started working on the painting, thus my only source materials were a few photographs which I taped together and projected onto the canvas with the assistance of a friend's antiquated and very dim epidiascope. Even then I didn't apply paint for another year maybe. Then I cheated by adding trees from Norwich....
